Abstract: Leucas indica var. nagalapuramiana is a high value medicinal plant of Seshachalam hill range of Eastern Ghats, Andhra Pradesh. The present study was conducted to determine the yield anti-diabetic, antioxidant activity, of the crude extracts of Nagalapuramiana. The extracts were prepared by using methanol solvent and fractionated with toluene, ethyl acetate and n-butanol. The extracts are subjected to test their biological activities by few in vitro tests like 1, 1-diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazyl (DPPH) assay, estimation of malondialdehyde (MDA), glutathione (GSH), and nitric oxide (NO) levels. The ethyl acetate fraction of Leucas indica (EALI) shows significant antioxidant and anti-hyperglycemic activity.
