Abstract: Pharmacovigilance, the science of detecting, assessing, and preventing adverse effects of medicines is crucial for patient safety and public health. Despite facing challenges such as adverse events, data analysis complexity, and limited resources, advancements in technology and global collaboration provide opportunities for growth and innovation. Improve methods to evaluate drug safety, availability of real-world data, advanced methods such as machine learning approaches and other technical tools the opportunities in Pharmacovigilance have increased. This review discusses the current state of pharmacovigilance, challenges, opportunities, and future directions for enhancing patient safety and public health.
